So what does Neat Video do for you? Essentially it’s a plug-in that reduces digital noise and grain found in footage. So if you’re incorporating say an old piece of footage into your project, it can smooth out the grain and reduce some of the scratches and even hairs on the shot. If you have a shot from your DSLR that was shot in incredibly low light and you needed to bump up the ISO to an ungodly number, then it can take out that noise and save your shot.
Or at least it claims it can...Just kidding, it really can and it does. I had some shots in my Sri Lanka Travel film that were shot in an extremely dark auditorium with my GH5, which is known to blow at low light, and it took the terribly noisy shot and made it useable. How did it do it exactly? Through science, that’s how. Kidding, I don't really know how.
The plug-in is used by both amateurs and professionals in many different niches, like real estate videography, wedding videography, commercial projects, event videographers, aerial video makers, and pretty much any time you use a camera, this may come in handy once your enter the editing room.
Here are some examples of what it can do:

So, if you value your work and you’ve found that sometimes noise is introduced in the shots that you put a lot of time and dedication into, then definitely pick up this plug in. It’s an amazing noise reduction plug in and you’ll find yourself using it more than you think.
